Court of Protection
At some stage of our lives, we become very concerned about a parent or close relative or child who may be having difficulties in making decisions about their finances, property, assets or even their own welfare. In some cases it may be that a parent or relative has become senile or suffers from dementia or Alzheimer's. In other cases you may believe that such a person has become or is at risk of becoming vulnerable or is being abused. TheCourt of Protection is there to help and protect those vulnerable members of our society who are incapable of making decisions for themselves or at risk of being abused.
The Court of Protection is part of the Govenment body, Office of the Public Guardian.
If you know someone who has these dfficulties, then contact us at Young & Co. and we will advise and assist you in protecting your relative.
